Derek Lee and Geovany Soto breaking out of slump?

Derek Lee has look great this week! Lifting the Cubs to three straight wins. Can the Cubs keep this up? I say yes, but they can't keep on relying on close games. These last couple games the Cubs hitting in the early innings has not been good. Batters were swinging at first pitches and not having quality at bats but in the later innings and extra innings Cubs hitters looked patience and posied to make quality swings and take good pitches.

Derek Lee has a very good swing right now. Hes not trying to pull the ball, hes just trying make good solid contact. Right now he is a confident, deadly hitter. I have him on my fantasy baseball team, and he has been loading up the score board. Last eight games Derek has hit for a average of 0.382. Also, has five homeruns and eleven RBIs in the last eight games. Saves a lot of errors in the infield. Hes a good guy and great player. Right now has eleven homeruns and 35 RBIs. Expect 20-25 homeruns and 75-100 RBIs depending on injuries. He'll go through his slumps but always seems to put up solid numbers every year.

Geovany Soto, had a awesome rookie season last year. This year not so much. I know his shoulder problem has limit his play some what. These last couple of games Soto has been robbed of some hits. His last four games he played, Soto has in average of 0.357, one homerun, and two RBIs. Most of the season this year he has been pulling the ball, but these last couple of games he seems to have found his rhythm. Wether or not he can keep this up, only the future can tell.
