The steals and reaches for 2009 NBA draft

Here are my reaches of the NBA draft

Indiana's 13th pick, Tyler Hansbrough

Way too high for Tyler. He doesn't have good size at 6'8 for his position. Not that physical player against other centers. Has very good work ethic though, and might be a good fit for the Pacers. Had him mid 20s in the first round.

Memphis's  27th pick, DeMarre Carroll

Needs to get stronger. Again, his size is too small for his position. Will need to become a better shooter. Very tough, agressive player though. Can get up and down the court well. Had him mid second round.

Cleveland's 30th pick, Christian Eyenga

Another pick way too high. Very athletic player, one of those picks either bust or a average player. Had no competition where he played at. Should have been late second round pick.

Here are my steals of the NBA draft

Philadelphia's 17th pick, Jrue Holiday

I had this guy going 4th overall pick. Like I said love this kids work ethic. Hes a solid shooter and ball handler. He'll need to add muscle but is going to a solid pro.

Memphis 36th pick, Sam Young

Older guy, so you know what you can expect from him. Very good outside shooter. Like his moves to get a open shoot, solid rebounder, tough, and very athletic. Needs to work on ball handling skills. I had him at 21st overall pick in the draft.

San Antonio's 37th pick, DeJuan Blair

Love this pick for the Spurs. Physical, agressive, powerful, and tough player. Great size for his position. Great rebounder, 7'2 foot wing span. Will have to improve his free throw shooting, but for sure the steal of the draft. I had him going 11th overall pick in the draft.

Charlotte's 40th pick, Derrick Brown

Can defend well, 7'2 wing span, can move well up and down the court, good offensive rebounder, high basketball IQ, 36 inch vertical leap, and strong. Still have to work on shooting the rock but a steal neverthless. Had him going 27th overall pick in the draft.

Detroit's 44th pick, Chase Budinger

Love this pick for Detroit, not just because I'm a fan of Detroit, great athlete, can shoot from any where on the court, can move well without the ball. Will need to improve his defense and stay in front of players. Had Chase being selected at 29th overall.

Portland's 55th pick, Patrick Mills

Very fast and quick. Good defender, can drive to the basket well, and solid shooter. Had Patrick going any where from 30-35 overall pick in the draft.
